I actually went to their launch party a couple of weeks ago which was at the Danish Embassy – and yes, I felt super official going to an event at the embassy, ha! Their lovely team had a couple of burgers prepared as well as drinks and ice cream – in amazing flavours such as hazelnut & liquorice! And let me tell you: that hazelnut ice cream was pure perfection! They are a Danish brand and all about plant-based comfort foods! Their current range includes burger patties, vegan mince, plant-based milk drinks, the best vegan butter I’ve ever tried and ice cream (which sadly isn’t yet launching in the UK) – and it’s super exciting that their patties & mince are available in Sainsbury’s from 27th June! I definitely can’t wait, cause this stuff is absolutely amazing. What inspired me to create a vegan Big Mac version were the latest plant-based patties by Naturli. The recipe was again tweaked in 1991 and remained that way until 2004 when Fred Turner, who had worked alongside founder Ray Kroc, wanted it changed back.Īfter tracking down the original formula in the McDonald’s archives, Turner contacted the supplier who had helped develop the Special Sauce years ago, and the recipe was returned.Ever had that sudden craving for some really good comfort food? A good old McDonalds burger was always at the top of the list when it comes to my favourite comfort foods – and this Vegan Big Mac Sauce Recipe really hits the spot! What inspired this Vegan Mcdonalds Burger recipe To eliminate inconsistency, a single recipe was developed that satisfied customers who had a taste for either one. Over the next few years, the formula was fine-tuned, and there were actually two different versions of the Special Sauce being used. By 1968, the Big Mac® was launched nationally and featured this delicious, creamy signature Big Mac® Special Sauce. When McDonald’s franchise owner Jim Delligatti first came up with his double patty, triple bun creation in 1967, he needed the perfect sauce to top it off. Where did the Big Mac Special Sauce originate So, wanting to satisfy my craving for a Big Mac, I decided to create the sauce that makes the Big Mac truly a Big Mac! I think it was most likely back during my college days when I didn't have a kitchen or any time to actually cook. So, when was the last time I actually ate a Big Mac? If we are going to be completely honest with each other, I LOVE Big Macs! Try this recipe today and you will not be able to tell a difference between my copy cat version and the real thing! This Whole30 and Paleo Big Mac Special Sauce copycat version is just like the real thing without any chemicals or preservatives. Simple ingredients come together to form an easy and delicious Whole30 and Paleo copycat version of the famous Big Mac Special Sauce recipe.
